Sterling Silver 1913 Cigarette Case Presented To Lieut. Phillimore 8/A&SH 1913 Killed in Action 1915

Original WW1 cigarette case issued to Lieutenant Hugh Bouchier Phillimore (1873-1915) by the NCOs and men of 8th Argyll & Sutherland Highlanders. Phillimore rose to the rank of Captain in charge of the units Machine gun section. Son of an Admiral and was killed by wounds recieved in 1915. He is buried at Le Touret, France.
