These tins full of chocolate were sent out to the servicemen as a token of appreciation by the Lord Mayor and local businessman Oscar Rowntree. The tin is in fairly good shape, without contents. Original pair of sterling silver medals to Henry Henderson (B.1879). Queens South Africa Medal for his campaign service in the Boer War with four bars. Cape Colony, Orange Free State, Transvaal & SA 1901. Named to him whilst he served with the East Kent Regiment. He later went on to serve in WW1 with the Royal Flying Corps and Royal Air Force.
