WW1 Trio Leading Seaman Claude Foster J.5871 Killed in Action HMS Indefatigable Battle of Jutland

Original trio of medals named to J.5871 C.Foster L.S.R.N. Who was killed in action 31st May 1916. HMS Indefatigable was the first ship and battlecruiser sank at 16.03 pm that afternoon. Over 8,500 died in the battle. Only three survivors of the 1000+ crew survived. A scarce grouping relating to one of the most important battles of the entire war.  read more

Original CCC in bronze, made by M&K of Gablonz. Nice early type 1 with two tone finish. Correct hardware in the reverse. High Z in Gablonz with double stamp A in Ausf. Blue tint plate, rarer to find.
