Rare variant of the WW1 German army Fernglas 08 Binos case with metal reinforced lid and bottom with a faux leather covering and real leather belt loops. This is an “Ersatz” style case produced later in the war during shortages. Paper usage label remains present in the lid of the case. Very late war produced German army medical satchel which is part presstof (leather substitute made of pressed paper) and some real leather fittings. Ordinance tan metal front as per 1943 regulations onwards. Clear stamp present in the lid flap. An all round nice late war piece of field gear. No key present for the satchel. read more
