German M18 Steel Helmet

Original German M18 steel helmet shell. Transitional type that hardly saw any WW1 service however did see device with the Reichwehr in the 1920s/ 1930s and right at the beginning of the third Reich period. This one does not appear to have had any decals so we believe it was Reichwehr period. Some very minor pitting in areas of the shell. Mostly smooth throughout. M31 aluminium liner band present inside the helmet with the original three split pins. A reproduction set of three liner pads are in place, no horse hair padding is present on the underside. A nice display piece of a reasonably uncommon shell.
