French M26 Helmet Luftshutz Reissue

Original French army M26 helmet which has been captured and reissued for the German home front organisation Luftshutzbund. Helmet retains 90% of its original green paint with the standard luftshutz decal applied to the front and RF badge removed. In the helmet the leather liner has been removed and instead four splinter pattern pads have been sewn in. Under one pad, the Luftwaffe acceptance stamp is present with the letters L and S for Luftshutz. A superb factory modification that I haven’t seen before. It’s worth noting only three of the four pads are present and there is no leather chinstrap. A very nice helmet.
