German Police Gendarmerie Meister Uniform Merseberg Saxony- Anhalt
Original WW2 German police jacket and trousers for a Gendarmerie Meister in the town of Merseberg. Tunic is a standard four pocket type as worn by all ranks of the police, complete with the period applied shoulder boards, collar tabs and sleeve eagle. One small nip in the wool of the jacket in line with the buttons, two buttons up from the bottom (view photographs for this). Apart from that a lovely jacket. Nicely tailor labelled and even stamped by the tailor with the full sizes of the jacket and manufacturer year of 1939. This jacket comes with the trousers, both pieces did come together and have not been added at a later date. The trousers crutch does suffer with some moth nips. This is only in this area. The rest of the trousers are fairly good everywhere else. Trousers are buttoned correctly around the waist and all buttons are marked Schutzpolizei. No stamps appear present in the lining of the trousers. Overall a nice set that displays very well. More photos can be provided on request, please email us for this.
