German Artillery Officer Open Collar Tunic

An interesting German army officers open collar tunic with insignia to the 18th Regiment of Artillery. Garbadine wool jacket with velvet like collar. Period applied tabs and boards. No evidence of a breast eagle ever being attached. Tunic has seen heavy service with some minor holes and wear in the expected places, for example along the cuffs, elbows, upper shoulders etc. three button holes have had minor repairs with blue cotton thread. These do not glow under UV so we can only assume it was period done. Nice tailors label present under the neck line of the jacket, a verified tailor of the period. The inside pocket has a washed out label present, unfortunately no text is readable on this label. Several holes sewn into the jacket to apply awards, one which appears to be a repeater clasp and EK1. A nice overall piece either related to regular artillery or motorised artillery.
