Silver Grade Dr Fritz Todt Award C.F.Zimmermann

Original Zimmermann made 2nd class Dr Fritz Todt award issued to civilians who made significant contributions to Science & production subsequently benefitting the war effort. The award was instituted in 1943, two years after the death of Dr. Fritz Todt and was awarded with a substantial cash prize. Award is made from a die struck zinc with silver wash finish. A lot of this finish has been absorbed by the zinc. Award is complete with its factory assembled hardware on the reverse. A great example of a rare prize issued during the Third Reich.
