WW1 Military Medal Group 29223 SJT. -A.C.S. MJR. W.E.DENNEY 1.SOM.L.I & Manchester Regiment

Original Military Medal and trio issued to Lance Sergeant Worner E Denney born in Poplar 1891. Originally serving with the 10th Battalion Manchester Regiment in Egypt & Gallipoli before joining the western front. The trio is named to him whilst serving with the Manchesters with the rank of Lance Sergeant (number 1721) and his MM is named to him whilst serving with the Somerset Light Infantry as acting CSM. A nice grouping, complete with ribbons. Denney would survive the Great War and pass away in Southend on Sea in 1953. A group certainly worthy of more research!
