German Luftwaffe Wehrpass Major Kurt Werner Bau-Ersatz-Batl.XI With Citations

Original Luftwaffe officers Wehrpass issued to Major Kurt Werner, Born 07.11.1877. Werner was originally in the enlisted ranks from 1897 in the colonies before going on to serve in WW1 with several decorations including the Iron cross. He received his officers commission near the end of the war. During WW2 he would go on to reenlist after retirement and join the ranks in the Luftwaffe rising to the rank of Major overseeing a unit of Luftwaffe engineers. He received the War Merit Cross with swords second class after his full retirement in January 1943. This document is hand signed by General Ludwig Wolff, Commander General of Luftgau XI. Included with this group is his citation for the Hindenburg cross issued in 1935 as well as a large amount of hand written combat history from WW1. A great group to an officer, worthy of further research.
