1940s British Police Officers Service Jacket, Trousers, Belt & Cape

Original 1940s British Police officers Service Jacket with trousers, Belt and Cape. Jacket has the insignia for General Pattern uniforms for the period with composite war economy buttons. Ribbon bar indicates he was a WW1 veteran. E 111 insignia on the correct period stiffened collar. Sergeants stripes have been hand applied, it’s hard to say if this was period or done at a later time. Paper label still partially present in the jacket however it is not readable, only the manufacturers name Compton & Sons can be read. Compton & Sons were a huge producer of Military and service dress uniforms during WW2. The trousers have minimal wear compared to the jacket, a repair is present in one of the trouser pockets. A clear George VI stamp is visible with no other markings. The cape is a standard period example with black painted brass lion head for night patrol. Belt is also a standard period example, with snake hook and a 50 stamp on the leather. This appears to be the size. A nice display grouping.
