German Army Ersatz Soldbuch Ukrainian Doctor of Medicine Viktor Brannasky

Superb scarce original soldbuch used by a Ukrainian volunteer in the Wehrmacht. Oberarzt Viktor Brannasky born 22nd June 1914 in Odessa, modern day Ukraine served with Landeshutzen Battalion 920/ Geb.San.Ers.Abt.18. We have not done too much research in his combat history however he served the entire war in the Eastern front and in the Balkans. He was Hospitalised with a pistol shot to the head 23/08/1942 and received treatment for this until 27th November of that year. He was once again wounded in April 1943. For his service, he was awarded the wound badge in black, eastern front medal, Iron Cross second class and the KVK2 whilst under the direction of the 104 Jager Division. After the war, Dr.Brannasky somehow avoided deportation back to the USSR and settled with his wife in Stuttgart. This Soldbuch was also found with a rare maroon cover. A superb set, despite almost three quarters of a million Soviets serving with the Wehrmacht during WW2, the paperwork very rarely survives. This one could not be better!
