German Army Soldbuch Unteroffizier Heinrich Becker Gren.Regt.57 9th Infantry Division

Original soldbuch issued to Heinrich Becker. Served in the battle of France then operation Barbarossa serving on the eastern front until 1944 where the unit was destroyed in Ukraine and reorganised in the western front. The 9th Infantry Division was reformed into the 9th Volksgrenadier Division where it fought against US forces in the Eiffel region. Becker was injured several times in combat and earned the Iron Cross second class and wound badge in black. A photo is included of Becker during recovery.
