WW1 German Army Fernglas 08 Binocular Case

Rare variant of the WW1 German army Fernglas 08 Binos case with metal reinforced lid and bottom with a faux leather covering and real leather belt loops. This is an “Ersatz” style case produced later in the war during shortages. Paper usage label remains present in the lid of the case. Lid shuts well without the need for the leather fasteners on each side of the case which are missing. A nice example overall.
