German 2nd Pattern Tropical Feldblouse Italy Campaign 1944

Original untouched 2nd pattern German tropical issue feldblouse. Coded B44 for Bremen 1944. Complete with factory applied zigzag stitched breast eagle and machine sewn collar tabs. Slip on Cavalry enlisted man shoulder boards present on the tunic, as often found on these uniforms due to the materials shortages by this point in the war. Tunic is typical four pocket type, completely unaltered with open collar, size adjustable cuffs and bandage pocket. Right sleeve appears to have had a kraftfahr proficiency badge removed at some point however stitch holes and thread still present. One small hole in the reverse of the jacket and heavy wear on the breast eagle. This wear has clearly been done by the chaffing of canvas Y-Straps or straps for a rucksack, to us this adds so much additional character to the jacket! Except this, no other damage to report. A nicely worn late war jacket representing a Cavalry unit in Italy or the Balkans 1944-45. Hard to upgrade.
