German Army Soldbuch Unteroffizier Heinrich Becker Gren.E.B.36 & 57 9th Infantry Division

Original German army Soldbuch issued to Unteroffizier Heinrich Becker of Grenadier Ersatz Batalion 36 and later Grenadier Regiment 57. Beckers first service was in France and later the Soviet Union where he earned both the Iron Cross Second class and wound badge in black. In 1944 he was assigned to Gren.Regt.57 following the destruction of the 9th ID in south Ukraine and was reformed into the 9th Volksgrenadier Division and moved over to the western front. Becker fought with the 9th VG division in the Eifel region against US forces until the division eventually surrendered in 1945. Included in the back of this Soldbuch is a photo of Becker during rehabilitation after a foot injury. This Soldbuch is a late 1943 reissue.
