German K98K Bayonet With Frog JWH French Made

Original German army K98K combat bayonet made by JWH a French licensed manufacturer. Bayonet numbered 9134 fitted with Bakerlite grips and remains in good shape with its full bluing. Bayonet appears to have had the top part of its flash guard removed very neatly using a machine. I’m not so sure why this has been done. Scabbard looks to have been repainted and made by Josef Corts Solingen 1939. Leather frog in good shape, no stamps present.
