Luftwaffe Oberwachtmeister Paul Finger Soldbuch,Wehrpass,

Large paperwork grouping to Luftwaffe Oberwachtmeister Paul Finger of Flak Regiment 36 and 361 (both motorised). Fingers career started is a barber in 1932, stated in his hairdressers & wig makers association book. He later joined the RAD as a volunteer in 1935. After completing service he joined the German airforce where he was attached to Flak Regiment 361. He served in the invasion of Poland in 1939 and then France in 1940. Finger was posted to the eastern front in 1941 for the upcoming operation Barbarossa. Includes with this 1942 he was stationed near Leningrad and later fought at Ladoga in 1943. In October 1944 his unit was posted to the Kurland pocket where he was hospitalised. The unit was destroyed here and remains were attached to the new 408 Volks Artillerie Korps. The 408 Volks-Art were stationed to defend Germany until surrendering to the Russians in 1945.

In this grouping is Fingers Wehrpass & Soldbuch. Both full of entries. Two RAD members books, Fingers hairdresser association book, some loose paperwork and three of his award citations. These citations are for the wound badge, merit cross with swords and the Eastern front campaign medal.

It is worth noting that on both Wehrpass and Soldbuch Obwachtmeister Finger had also recieved the Four year long service medal.

A really nice complete group!
