WW2 Period German Army Pioneer Axe With Cover

Original Herman army pioneer axe complete with carrier. Axe in good shape, complete with unit markings. Axe cover marked to a Bielefeld maker who was a confirmed maker of leather works during the war. Whilst the cover is of the period, it’s hard to judge whether it is a military or civil issue piece without WaA marks or a production year. As well as the army, the fire service and railways services were using the same carriers so it could have been used by one of these. This is reflected in the price. A nice third Reich period piece, ideal for a pioneer display.
