German Army Soldbuch Oberfeldwebel Helmut Schmidt Wound Badge in GOLD!

Original German army soldbuch issued to Oberfeldwebel Helmut Schmidt who served with Infantry Regiment 331. Schmidt originally served in France and later the eastern front during operation Barbarossa his unit was at the battle of Kursk in 1943. Several awards are mentioned including the Infantry assault badge silver grade, iron cross second class, iron cross first class, eastern front campaign medal and with six wounds, he earnt the wound badge in gold. Soldbuch has been repaired on the spine, the middle section of the book is loose from the front and back cover. A nice example with a good selection of awards attributed.
