German Kriegsmarine Soldbuch & Dog Tag Matrosenhauptgefreiter Helmut Lohrberg
Original WW2 German Soldbuch and dog tag to Matrosenhauptgefreiter Helmut Lohrberg of the Kriegsmarine joining 01/08/1941 and finishing service on the day of capitulation 08/05/1945. Lohrberg served on a mine laying ship throughout Denmark and Norway during his war service and after the war he was employed by the Royal Navy “Deutschen Minenräumdienst” or otherwise known as the German mine clearance service. It was here he received his final promotion in June 1945 and served during this period until 10/10/1947. Plenty of entries in the Soldbuch regarding wartime service and his RN service. Along with the Soldbuch comes a letter from the Deutsche Dienststelle (WASt) Berlin outlining his service, his original dog tag with cotton twine necklace and a name tag for clothing.
